Pray Instead

Pray instead of judge. Pray instead of complain. Pray instead of gossip. Pray instead of being jealous or envious. Pray instead of doubting. Pray instead...
When you find yourself going there, pray instead.
It's easy to see what is not going right or to submit to the negativity around us.
An old hip-hop song said  "Don't talk about it, Be about it".
 I'm changing it to "Don't talk about it, Pray about it."
Give it to Jesus. Prayer changes things.
I am challenging myself to stop, and pray instead of reacting how my flesh wants me to react.
 It's easy to be controlled by our emotions. God wants us to be led by His Spirit within us.

Romans 8:14 (NIV) -  For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
Romans 8:6 (NLT)-
So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

I desire to have life and peace.
